First Lady Cynthia Squires (of St. Peter Baptist Church Ministries, Inc., Aurora, NC) lives in Greenville, NC and has been married to her loving husband, Pastor, Elder Barry Squires, since 1997. Their union has been blessed with three wonderful children (a beautiful daughter, Cecori and handsome twin boys (Barry Jr. (BJ) and Bryan). She has been First Lady since 2010. She leads the Women’s Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, Vacation Bible School, the annual Aurora Community Health Fair initiative, and she participates in the choir. She is a graduate of NC State University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Industrial Engineering. She was a Project Management Engineer for the NC Department of Transportation (15 yrs.). During part of her time at NCDOT she participated as a Commissioner on the “License to Give Trust Fund Commission” under the appointment of Governor Roy Cooper. The Commission deals with allocating federal funds to promote organ and tissue donation throughout the state of North Carolina. She is currently the Performance Improvement Program Manager at Carolina Donor Services. She is a dedicated wife and mother, and more than anything she loves the Lord and enjoys serving Him. Her favorite scripture is Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (KJV)
